ST. NORBERT’S CATHOLIC PRIMARY VOLUNTARY ACADEMY
St Norbert’s is a small Catholic Primary School and Nursery that serves the town of Crowle and the surrounding villages.
It has a fully extended school status in recognition of the Goldstar Out-of-School Club, Breakfast Club and high number of after-school clubs.
Our ‘outstanding’ Catholic ethos is extremely important and our Mission Statement is based on Jesus as a role model in order for the children to reach fulfilment both in academic success and eternal destiny.
The school has achieved the Rights Respecting Award. It has also been awarded a School Games Mark for provision in physical education and school sports; a Gold Artsmark Award for the school’s commitment to the Arts;and an Eco Schools’ Green Flag award.
When inspected in February 2015, St Norbert’s was judged to be‘a very calm, friendly environment where pupils feel safe and happy. Pupils’ personal development, including their behaviour, is outstanding. They value learning and always try their best. As a result, they achieve well.’
The diocesan canonical inspection went on to state: ‘This outstanding school is dedicated to ensuring high standards in Religious Education, Collective Worship and Catholic Life at all times and this is generated by the passionate leadership of the school and the collegiate approach of all staff and governors, with the support of enthusiastic parishioners and appreciative parents. The Religious Education programme is immersed into the whole school curriculum and a holistic approach to education is evident across the school, enriching the possibilities for pupils to become ‘model citizens’.
All pupils are welcoming and proud of the work they undertook to form their school’s mission statement ‘to live, love and learn in the footprints of Jesus’. The exemplary behaviour of pupils and the tangible sense of community are evident throughout the school.’
We are very happy to be part of The Northern Lincolnshire Catholic Academy Trust.
